The Greek market : an opportunity for the European Franchisors
The president of the Greek Association, Mr Iliadis, has told us about the situation of franchise in Greece, during the KEM Expo (fair, exhibition). Mr Iliadis has said that franchise is spreading and developing very fast in Greece. Nowadays, in fact, the 4% of Greek trade is based on franchise and this percentage will increase soon. The Government is supporting franchise a lot in Greece, it will get to European levels and probably it will also exceed them. In Greece everybody knows well all the chances that franchise offers, therefore everybody tries to invest in franchise. The president has also spoken about the Greek franchises who want to invest and work abroad. Greek ideas have always been original and have always had success. There are some Greek companies which are ready to start working abroad and they will start soon, and others which will be ready to start soon. But also the foreign franchises investing in Greece have always had a lot of chance to succeed; Greeks like working with foreign concepts and the circumstances are propitious for a foreign co-operation in this country. Last but not least, the President has talked about Infofranchise: he considers it a new and very original enterprise (idea): a company which gives to foreign partnerships the chance to get advertising in Europe and also all around the world.
